1999–2000 Boston Celtics Season
The 1999–2000 NBA season was the 54th season for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association. During the off-season, the team acquired Danny Fortson, and former Celtics forward Eric Williams (basketball, born 1972), Eric Williams from the 1998–99 Denver Nuggets season, Denver Nuggets, and signed free agents Calbert Cheaney, and undrafted rookie shooting guard Adrian Griffin. Antoine Walker
Antoine Devon Walker (born August 12, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player. He was drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft out of the University of Kentucky and played in the NBA from 1996 to 2008. Walker played for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, the BSN's Mets de Guaynabo and the NBA D-League's Idaho Stampede before retiring from basketball in 2012. Pervis Ellison (born April 3, 1967) is an American former National Basketball Association (NBA) player. Nicknamed "Never Nervous Pervis" for his clutch play with the University of Louisville, after leading Louisville to a national championship, Ellison was the first overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft. 2000–01 Denver Nuggets Season
The 2000–01 NBA season was the 25th season for the Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association, and their 34th season as a franchise. During the off-season, the Nuggets acquired Calbert Cheaney, and former Nuggets guard Robert Pack from the Boston Celtics, and acquired Voshon Lenard from the Miami Heat, acquired Tracy Murray from the Washington Wizards, and re-signed free agent and former Nuggets guard Anthony Goldwire. However, Cheaney only played just nine games due to a strained left hamstring, and Tariq Abdul-Wahad only played just 29 games due to weight problems. The 2000–01 NBA season was the 55th season for the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association, and their 39th season in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the off-season, the Warriors re-signed free agent and former Warriors All-Star forward Chris Mullin, while acquiring Danny Fortson from the Boston Celtics, and Bob Sura from the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, Fortson only played just six games due to a foot injury. A 7'1" Center (basketball), center, nicknamed "the Chief", Parish played for four teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1976 to 1997.
