1998–99 Ukrainian Football Amateur League was the seventh amateur championship of Ukraine and the 35th since the establishment of championship among fitness clubs (KFK) in 1964. Ukrainian Football Amateur Association
The Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine (, AAFU) is a sports organization that administers national competitions of association football among amateur and children teams. AAFU is a collective member of the Football Federation of Ukraine. It was established 2 March 1998 and under the association agreement between the Football Federation of Ukraine and the Association, it is authorized to organize the All-Ukrainian National Football Championship and Cup tournaments amongst amateur football teams. The football championship is considered the fourth level of national competition and is the premier competitions for amateur clubs (professionally non-licensed). FC Pivdenstal Yenakiieve, also known by its Russian transcription as Yugostal (, ) was a Ukrainian football club from Yenakiieve, Donetsk Oblast. History In 1913, a football team was organized at the Petrovsky Metallurgical Plant. Workers' access to this team was limited by the charter, as well as large membership fees. Information about only two players of the first team of the plant has survived. Those were the full-back (defender), a French engineer De-Sev and the goalkeeper, an employee of the main office Apelchenko. The "metallurgists" played games on the football field in the area of the St.Nicholas Church (the area of the modern sintering plant) and on suitable wastelands of the workers' settlements of Zarudni, Zamkovka, Pivnovka and others.
