The Serie B (), officially known as Serie BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A. It has been operating for over ninety years since the 1929–30 season. It had been organized by Lega Calcio until 2010 and the Lega B ever since. Common nicknames for the league are ''campionato cadetto'' and ''cadetteria'', since ''cadetto'' is the Italian name for junior or cadet. Alberto Cavasin
Alberto Cavasin (born 9 January 1956) is an Italian football manager and former player. Playing career Cavasin, a right back, started his professional career in 1973 for Treviso; he then played for a number of Serie A, B and C clubs, with some success. He retired in 1990. Managerial career After a few months as ''Allievi Nazionali'' coach for Calcio Padova, Cavasin became coach of Treviso for the 1990–91 season, to be sacked soon after. After a number of season at the helm of several Serie C clubs, Cavasin became coach of last-placed Serie B club A.C. Cesena in 1998, as a replacement for Corrado Benedetti, and led the team to keep its place in the league. Cesena Football Club is an Italian professional football club based in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna. It currently plays in the Serie B, after promotion from the Serie C in 2023–24. It has claimed to be the phoenix club of AC Cesena since 2018, the year that the club folded. History Foundation The club was founded in 2018. Silvio Baldini (born 11 September 1958) is an Italian association football manager, currently in charge of club Pescara. Career Early years Born in Massa but hailing from nearby Carrara, Baldini started his coaching career in 1984 at the age of 26 with Bagnone, an amateur Seconda Categoria team, which he led to immediate promotion in his debut year. In 1988, he became assistant coach of Massese. In 1989, he was then appointed at the helm of Promozione team Forte dei Marmi, which he led to promotion in 1991. Bortolo Mutti (born 11 August 1954) is an Italian football manager and a former player, who was most recently manager of Livorno. His older brother Tiziano Mutti also played football professionally.
