Květa Peschke
Květoslava Peschke (, née Hrdličková; born 9 July 1975) is a Czech former professional tennis player who was ranked world No. 1 in doubles. She reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 26 in November 2005, winning one WTA singles title in Makarska in 1998, but achieved most of her success in doubles. Peschke claimed her first Grand Slam title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Katarina Srebotnik. The pair also jointly attained the world No. 1 ranking in doubles for the next ten weeks, and were the 2011 WTA Doubles Team of the Year, having previously reached the final at the 2010 French Open. In mixed doubles, she finished runner-up at the US Open in 2006, 2010, and 2012, alongside Martin Damm, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Marcin Matkowski respectively. Marlene Weingärtner (born 30 January 1980) is a retired tennis player from Germany. She is a former top 40 player in both singles and doubles. Career The most remarkable moment of her career was her first-round match at the 2003 Australian Open when she defeated there the defending champion Jennifer Capriati. Capriati led the encounter 6–2, 4–1, but Weingärtner fought back and won by a 2–6, 7–6, 6–4 scoreline. She eventually reached the third round. Her best Grand Slam tournament showings were two fourth-round appearances, the first in Melbourne 2002, the latter at the 2004 French Open. In 2004, she also reached her only WTA Tour final in Bali which she lost in straight sets to Svetlana Kuznetsova. Playing for Germany in the Fed Cup, she has a win–loss record of 2–3. Biography Schreiber was born in Freiburg im Breisgau, the daughter of tennis instructor Wolfram, who began teaching her when she was four. Aged 14 she received a wildcard into the main draw of a WTA tournament in Leipzig and played her first tour match against Steffi Graf. Jana Rychlá (born Jana Pospíšilová on 23 March 1970) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. Career As a junior, Pospíšilová was a member of the Czechoslovak team which won the 1986 World Youth Cup in Japan and she was runner-up to Natasha Zvereva in the girls' singles at the 1987 French Open. In both 1988 and 1989 she competed for Czechoslovakia in the Federation Cup. When Czechoslovakia won the competition in 1988, Pospíšilová featured in all five World Group matches, as the doubles partner of Jana Novotná. The pair were unbeaten until losing in the final to the USSR, but Czechoslovakia had already secured the title after winning both singles matches.
