The 1998 New Orleans Saints season was the team's 32nd as a member of the National Football League (NFL). The Saints failed to qualify for the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season, and after a promising start of 3–0 only equalled their 6–10 record of the previous season. In the process the Saints lost to the 0–7 Carolina Panthers and were to follow this up the following season against the expansion Browns to become the only team since the NFL/AFL merger to lose to the last winless team in successive seasons. The National Football Conference – Western Division or NFC West is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). It currently has four members: the Arizona Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Seattle Seahawks. Ron Warner (American Football)
Ron Warner (born September 26, 1975) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Washington Redskins. He was also a member of both the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at the Independence Community College for two seasons with the Pirates. The 1997 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee as a member of the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) during the 1997 NCAA Division I-A football season. Led by fifth-year head coach Phillip Fulmer, the Volunteers compiled an overall record of 11–2 with a mark of 7–1, winning the SEC's Eastern Division title. Tennessee advanced to the SEC Championship Game, where the Volunteers defeated Auburn to capture the conference championship. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and typically line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and so back up the defensive linemen. Christopher E. Bordano (born December 30, 1974) is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. He played college football at Southern Methodist University. Early life Bordano was born in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Southwest High School, where he played as a linebacker. Livingstone Blue Bears Football
The Livingstone Blue Bears football program is an intercollegiate American football team for Livingstone College located in Salisbury, North Carolina. The team competes in NCAA Division II as a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). The school's first team was fielded in 1892 as the first historically black college to play football. The team plays its home games at Alumni Memorial Stadium.
