Group 8 consisted of six of the 50 teams entered into the European zone: Iceland national football team, Iceland, Liechtenstein national football team, Liechtenstein, Lithuania national football team, Lithuania, Macedonia national football team, Macedonia, Republic of Ireland national football team, Republic of Ireland, and Romania national football team, Romania.
