1997–98 Greek Football Cup
The 1997–98 Greek Football Cup was the 56th edition of the Greek Football Cup. Tournament details Totally 66 teams participated, 18 from Super League Greece, Alpha Ethniki, 18 from Beta Ethniki, Beta, and 30 from Gamma Ethniki, Gamma. It was held in 7 rounds, including the final. The teams of Alpha Ethniki would enter in the competition in the round of 32. Panionios made the surprise overcoming Panathinaikos in the final and won the second Cup in their history, after 1978–79 Greek Football Cup, 1979. Panegialios ( (''Panegialios Gymnastics Club'', referring to Aigialeia, a subprefecture covering the northeastern part of Achaea) is a football club based in Aigio, Greece. Preveza (, ) is a city in the region of Epirus, northwestern Greece, located on the northern peninsula of the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf.
