1997–98 Gamma Ethniki
The 1997–98 Gamma Ethniki was the 15th season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Ialysos Rodos and PAS Giannina were crowned champions in ''Southern'' and ''Northern'' Group respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. Agios Nikolaos and Pierikos also won promotion as a runners-up of the groups. Pamisos Messini, Ergotelis, Kerkyra, Agia Eleousa, Korinthos, Pyrgos, Orfeas Alexandroupoli, Tyrnavos, Orestis Orestiada, Agrotikos Asteras, Apollon Larissa and Anagennisi Arta were relegated to Delta Ethniki. The Gamma Ethniki (, C National Division) is the Greek football league system, third highest football league in Greece. History The Gamma Ethniki began in 1965 as an amateur championship, while in 1983 it was changed to professional. Although not literally national (it is divided into ''North'' and ''South'' groups), Football League 2 is considered as a national division. On 3 August 2010, it was announced that the division had been renamed ''Football League 2''. From season 2013–14, the football League 2 was merged with the Delta Ethniki, fourth division championship (Delta Ethniki) and renamed Gamma Ethniki once more. The new third division is held in six groups, with the clubs divided on the basis of geographical criteria, while it returns in an amateur form. Keratsini FC
Keratsini Football Club () is a Greek football club based in Keratsini, Greece. It plays in Piraeus FCA championship (EPS Piraeus). History Keratsini was founded in 1926 by Mpiskos and Diatsigkos with the name AO Neapoli, who later became ESKO IE, one of the Union Clubs Keratsini Orfeas. It was one of the four founding clubs of Piraeus FCA. In 1926, the team settled in Keratsini, renamed Athletic Football Club Keratsini. The Club took its final form in 1968 by merging with AO Amfiali. In 1991, the Keratsini first reached the Fourth Division and in 1994 in Gamma Ethniki. In 1994, the team lost the Greek Amateur Cup final on penalties (5–4). From 1997–2000 and 2004–2006, it again reached Gamma Ethniki League. Orfeas (), named after the mythical musician Orpheus, is a former municipality in the Evros regional unit, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Soufli, of which it is a municipal unit. Its land area is . It is located in the north-central part of Evros, and borders both southeastern Bulgaria and northwestern Turkey. The seat of the municipality was in Lavara (pop. 747 in 2021). Preveza (, ) is a city in the region of Epirus, northwestern Greece, located on the northern peninsula of the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf. It is the capital of the regional unit of Preveza, which is the southern part of the region of Epirus.
