Andrei Tchmil
Andrei Tchmil (born 22 January 1963) is a retired Soviet (until 1991), Moldovan (1992–1994), Ukrainian (1994–1998) and Belgian (since 1998) professional road bicycle racer. He competed in the Cycling at the 1996 Summer Olympics – Men's individual road race, men's individual road race at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Cycling career Tchmil was born in Khabarovsk, Russia. His family moved to Ukraine during the days of the Soviet Union. He started cycling and showed enough talent to be moved to a cycling school in Moldova. The glasnost in the Soviet Union allowed him to try a professional career with the Italian Alfa Lum team in 1989. Luca Gelfi
Luca Gelfi (21 June 1966 – 3 January 2009) was an Italian racing cyclist. A professional from 1988 to 1998, he won two stages of the 1990 Giro d'Italia and one of the 1997 Volta a Portugal. He finished second in the 1993 Milan–San Remo. After retiring in 1998, he owned and operated a bike shop and directed Team Fratelli Giorgi, a prestigious junior cycling team. Léon Van Bon
Léon Hendrik Jan van Bon (born 28 January 1972) is a retired road racing cyclist from the Netherlands, who won the silver medal in the men's points race at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. He won his first major race at the professionals in 1998, winning the HEW Cyclassics. In 2001 he claimed the overall-victory in the Ronde van Nederland. Van Bon retired in 2013. After the racing career he became a sports photographer, covering major road cycling events. Ján Svorada (born 28 August 1968 in Trenčín) is a retired Slovak and Czech road racing cyclist. He was born in Czechoslovakia; when that country split up in 1993, he raced for Slovakia until 1996, when he started racing for the Czech Republic. When Svorada won Stage 2 of the 1998 Tour de France he became a rarity in professional cycling because at that point he became a Tour de France stage winner who won at least one stage with two different nationalities. Maximilian Sciandri (born 15 February 1967) is a retired Great Britain, British road racing cyclist of Italy, Italian descent. He competed as an Italian national up to February 1995, then took British citizenship. He won the bronze medal in the men's individual road race at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States, USA. He was a professional rider from 1989 to 2004.
