1995–96 Cypriot Second Division
The 1995–96 Cypriot Second Division was the 41st season of the Cypriot second-level football league. APOP won their 6th title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1995–96 Cypriot Second Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to 1996–97 Cypriot First Division and the last three teams were relegated to the 1996–97 Cypriot Third Division. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. The team was established in 1948 and is based in the village of Dali, Cyprus, Dali in Nicosia District, Nicosia district. Athlitikos Omilos Ayia Napa (, Athletic Club Ayia Napa) is a Cypriot football club from the town of Ayia Napa. Ethnikos Assia Football Club () is a Cypriot football team currently playing in the Cypriot Second Division. The team was established in Assia, Famagusta, but since the Turkish invasion of 1974, Ethnikos became a refugee team. Anagennisi Deryneia () is a Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972.
