1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships
The Men's 1995 World Amateur Boxing Championships were held in the Deutschlandhalle in Berlin, Germany from May 4 to May 15. The eighth edition of this competition, held a year before the Boxing at the 1996 Summer Olympics, Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, was organised by the world governing body for amateur boxing International Boxing Association (amateur), AIBA. These World Championships saw the introduction of 'seedings' in each weight. Those seedings were to be based on the 1994 AIBA ranking list. Deutschlandhalle
Deutschlandhalle was an arena located in the Westend (Berlin), Westend neighbourhood of Berlin, Germany. It was inaugurated on 29 November 1935 by Adolf Hitler. The building was granted landmark status in 1995, but was demolished on 3 December 2011. History Built primarily for the 1936 Summer Olympics, the Deutschlandhalle could hold 8,764 people. The Olympic Boxing at the 1936 Summer Olympics, boxing, Weightlifting at the 1936 Summer Olympics, weightlifting and Wrestling at the 1936 Summer Olympics, wrestling competitions took place here. Raimkul Malakhbekov
Raimkul Khudoynazarovich Malakhbekov (; born 16 August 1974 in Dushanbe, Tajik SSR) is one of highest titled boxers of Russia, who won two Olympic medals in the Men's Bantamweight (54 kg) category. Biography Malakhbekovs origins take root in Badakhshan of Tajikistan, which is also known as Pamir. He graduated from the Tajik Institute of Physical Culture, majoring in boxing. His interest and passion for boxing grew when as a kid he visited the Dushanbe Sports Palace with his older brothers, who were training as boxers. Leonard Dorin Doroftei (, also known as ''Leonard Dorin''; born 10 April 1970) is a Romanian former boxer, the WBA Lightweight World Champion from 5 January 2002 to 24 October 2003.
