1994–95 IHL (Russia) Season
The 1994–95 International Hockey League season was the third season of the International Hockey League (1992–1996), International Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Russia. 28 teams participated in the league, and HK Dynamo Moscow won the championship by defeating HK Lada Togliatti in the final. International Hockey League (1992–1996)
The International Hockey League (IHL) () lasted from 1992 to 1996. It replaced the Soviet Union's Championship league. The last season was in 1995–96, as the league was replaced by the Russian Superleague the following season. There were two awards in the league. One was the regular season winner, and the other was the winner of the cup. BC Samara () is a Russian professional basketball team based in Samara. History BC Samara (1976–2002) Club was founded in Tolyatti as BC Azot. Club was a silver medalist of the Russian Super League 1 in 1992, and a 3-time bronze medalist, 1993, 1997, and 1998. CSK VVS (1992–2002) Another club from Samara was formally patronized by the Russian Air Force (VVS). After the collapse of Soviet Union, most of the staff of basketball club SKA Alma-Ata and basketball players along with coach moved to Samara and new club "CSK VVS" was founded. Hockey Club Avangard (, Vanguard), also known as Avangard Omsk, is a professional ice hockey club based in Omsk, Russia. It is a member of the Chernyshev Division in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Franchise history Early years of Omsk hockey (1950–1972) The first amateur ice hockey teams in Omsk began to appear in 1950, formed by local bandy players. HC Lada Togliatti () is a professional ice hockey club based in Tolyatti, Russia. It is a member of the Kharlamov Division in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Togliatti were participants in the inaugural season of the KHL in 2008–09. Due to a lack of a satisfactory arena, the KHL expelled the team and the team dropped one level to the Supreme Hockey League (VHL) for the 2010–11 season. They were allowed to rejoin the KHL for the 2014–15 season after the opening of the Lada Arena. However, the team was expelled again following the end of the 2017–18 season, and returned to the VHL.
