1994–95 Belarusian Premier League
The 1994–95 Belarusian Premier League was the fourth season of top-tier football in Belarus. It started 13 July 1994, and ended on 23 June 1995. Dinamo Minsk were the defending champions. Team changes from 1993–94 season Stroitel Starye Dorogi, placed 16th last year, relegated to the First League. They were replaced by the 1993–94 First League winners Obuvshchik Lida. Two teams changed their names during the winter break in the middle of the season. KIM Vitebsk were renamed to Dvina Vitebsk and Fandok Bobruisk to FC Bobruisk. Overview Dinamo Minsk won the championship for the 4th time in a row and qualified for the next season's UEFA Cup, as the Champions League was limited to 24 highest-ranked European national leagues which didn't include Belarus. Belarusian Premier League
The Belarusian Premier League (, ''Vyšejšaja Liha'' or ''Vysheyshaya Liga''; ; "Top League"), also called the BETERA Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Belarus and the highest level of the Belarusian football league system. It is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation. The number of teams in the competition has varied over the years from as high as 17 (1992–93 season) to as low as 11 (2012). the league included 16 teams. Each team plays every other team twice during the course of the season. At the end of the season, the two teams with the fewest points are automatically relegated to the Belarusian First League, while the third worst team plays a promotion-relegation playoff against the third best team from the second tier. 1994–95 Belarusian First League was the fourth season of 2nd level football championship in Belarus. It started in July 1994 and ended in June 1995. Team changes from 1993–94 season Winners of 1993–94 First League ( Obuvshchik Lida) were promoted to Belarusian Premier League. They were replaced by the last placed team of 1993–94 Premier League ( Stroitel Starye Dorogi). Smena Minsk, who finished 15th, relegated to the Second League. They were replaced by two best teams of 1993–94 Second League ( Kardan-Flyers Grodno and Ataka-Aura Minsk). The number of participating teams thus was restored to 16. Before the start of the season Selmash Mogilev were renamed to Transmash Mogilev. Dinamo Stadium (Minsk)
Dinamo National Olympic Stadium (, , , ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Minsk, Belarus. It first opened in 1934 and has had several renovations over the years, reopening after the latest one in 2017. Earlier it was used mostly for association football, football matches and was the home ground of FC Dinamo Minsk, Dinamo Minsk, FC Minsk and the Belarus national football team. Previously the stadium officially held 41,040, but because part of the upper stand had been abandoned in the mid-1990s for safety reasons, the actual capacity before renovations was 33,942. After renovation the capacity is only 22,246. History Dinamo Stadium was constructed and opened in 1934 and then expanded in 1939. FC Rechitsa-2014 () was a Belarusian football club based in Rechytsa. History The club was founded in 1952 as Krasnaya Zvezda Rechitsa (''Red Star'') and spent Soviet years playing in the Belarusian SSR league or in lower regional leagues. In 1960, they became Dneprovets Rechitsa, then Dnepr Rechitsa in 1962. In 1977, they were renamed to Neftyanik Rechitsa (''Oiler'') and in 1980 to Sputnik Rechitsa (''Satellite''). In 1991, Sputnik won the Belarusian SSR First League (2nd level). In 1992, the club was renamed to Vedrich Rechitsa and included to newly created Belarusian Premier League. FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk (, ) was a Belarus, Belarusian association football, football club, playing in the city of Salihorsk (Soligorsk). History The club was founded in 1961. During Soviet era, Shakhtyor Soligorsk played in the top or second division of the Belarusian SSR league, occasionally dropping to lower tiers (Minsk Oblast league) for a short time. In 1971, Shakhtyor absorbed two other local Soligorsk teams (Khimik and Gornyak). FC Neman Grodno or FK Nyoman Hrodna (; ) is a Belarus, Belarusian professional association football, football club based in the city of Grodno. It is named after the Neman River and founded in 1964. FC Belshina Bobruisk (, ''FK Belshyna Babruisk'') is a Belarusian football club based in Bobruisk. The team has won one Belarusian Premier League title, as well as 3 Belarusian Cup titles. FC Dynamo Brest (, ''FK Dynama Brest''; ) is a Belarusian professional football club based in Brest. The club plays in the Belarusian Premier League, the top division in Belarusian football. FC Torpedo Mogilev
FC Torpedo Mogilev is a Belarusian football club based in Mogilev. History The club was formed in 1959 as Kirovets Mogilev. During 1962–1963, the team played in the Belarusian SSR League, before submerging to regional and city level competitions. In 1979, the club was renamed to Torpedo Mogilev and joined the Belarusian SSR top league once again. They were third in 1979 and won their only championship title in 1982. The team began playing in the Belarusian Premier League in 1992. The first two seasons were most successful when they finished 7th (1992) and 8th (1992–93). The 1994–95 Belarusian Cup was the fourth season of the annual Belarusian football cup competition. Contrary to the league season, it was conducted in a fall-spring rhythm. It began on 3 August 1994 with the preliminary round and ended on 28 June 1995 with the final at the Dinamo Stadium in Minsk. FC Dinamo Minsk were the defending champions, having defeated FC Fandok Bobruisk in the 1994 final, but were knocked out in the third round by FC Molodechno.
