Kategoria Superiore (), also known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons with internet service provider, Abissnet, is a professional league for men's association football clubs in Albania. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's premier football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). The competition was founded in 1930 as the Albanian National Championship during the reign of King Zog, shortly after the creation of the Albanian Football Association. Klubi i Futbollit Elbasani was an Albanian professional football club based in the city of Elbasan, that last competed in the Kategoria e Dytë, the third tier of football in the country. History The club was formed in 1929 as Klubi i Futbollit Urani Elbasan, the result of the fusion between two clubs, ''Afërdita Elbasan'' and ''Përparimi Elbasan''. Urani translates to uranium in Albanian, and the club was named this due to the city's association with the metal. The club changed its name to ''KS Skampa Elbasan'' briefly before 1930. Loni Papuçiu Stadium () is a multi-use stadium in Fier, Albania Albania ( ; or ), officially the Republic of Albania (), is a country in Southeast Europe. It is located in the Balkans, on the Adriatic Sea, Adriatic and Ionian Seas within the Mediterranean Sea, and shares land borders with Montenegro to ... which is used as the home ground of local football club Apolonia. It was built in 1958 and has been the Apolonia's home ground ever since. The stadium has a seated capacity of 6,800. The stadium was reconstructed in 2013, and was completed 7 months later in February 2014 in time for a home fixture against Ada on 15 February 2014. The reconstruction of the stadium involved the installation of floodlights for the first time, a brand new field and 4,000 plastic seating all around the stadium.

Fier (; sq-definite, Fieri, Latin: ''Fierum'') is the seventh most populous city of the Republic of Albania and seat of Fier County and Fier Municipality. It is situated on the bank of Gjanica River in the Myzeqe Plain between the Seman in the north, the Vjosë in the south and the foothills of the Mallakastra Mountains in the southeast. Alush Noga Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Patos, Albania. The stadium has a capacity of 2,150 people and it is mostly used for football matches and it is the home ground of KS Albpetrol. History Following KF Albpetrol's promotion to the Albanian First Division in 2013, Patos Municipality funded the reconstruction of the stadium which was previously just a playing field surrounded by grass where a total of 4,000 to 5,000 spectators were able to stand or sit on to see the field from an elevated position. Klubi i Futbollit Shkumbini Peqin is an Albanian football club based in the town of Peqin. The club's home ground is the Shkumbini Stadium and they compete in the Kategoria e Dytë. History Football was first introduced to the city of Peqin in the early 1920s after an army officer from Shkodër brought along a ball with him.
