1993 Ýokary Liga season was the 2nd edition of the top tier professional Yokary Liga football annual competition in Turkmenistan administered by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan. It started on March 27, 1993, and ended on October 3, 1993. Turan Football Club () is a football (soccer), football club based in Daşoguz, Turkmenistan. They play in the top division in Turkmen football, the Turkmenistan Higher League. Their home stadium is Sport toplumy (Daşoguz), Sport Toplumy Stadium. In May 2010, the club changed its name to Daşoguz from Turan Daşoguz by the decision of Turkmenistan Football Federation. Köpetdag Aşgabat
The Köpet Dag, Kopet Dagh, or Koppeh Dagh (; ), also known as the Turkmen-Khorasan Mountain Range, is a mountain range on the border between Turkmenistan and Iran that extends about along the border southeast of the Caspian Sea, stretching northwest-southeast from near the Caspian Sea in the northwest to the Harirud River in the southeast. In the southwest it borders on the parallel eastern endings of the Alborz mountains being together part of the much larger Alpide belt. The highest peak of the range in Turkmenistan is the Mount Rizeh (Kuh-e Rizeh), located at the southwest of the capital Ashgabat and stands at . Physical Culture and Sports Football Club Merw Mary (), also known as Merw Mary, is a professional football club based in Mary, Turkmenistan. They play in the national top division; the Ýokary Liga. Football Club Şagadam () is a Turkmen professional football club based in Türkmenbaşy, Balkan Region. The team compete in Ýokary Liga, the top division in Turkmenistan football league system. The club was founded in 1949 and home matches are played at Şagadam Stadium, their original home ground. History The football club was founded in 1949 by the Complex of Oil Refineries in Krasnovodsk (Turkmen SSR). Prior to 1991, they had the name of DOSA. In 1992, until June, they were playing under the name Neftyanik and then – Hazar. In August 1993 the club was renamed ''Şagadam''. FC Bagtyyarlyk-Lebap
FK Lebap is a Turkmenistan football club based in Türkmenabat. Since 2015 they've played in the second division; the Birinji liga. Their home stadium is Türkmenabat Stadium which can hold 10,000 people. History The club has taken part in the championship of Turkmenistan since 1992. From 1996 the club added Eskavatorshik to their name. In the winter break of the 1997-1998 Championship, the club changed its name to Jeyhun. Since 2002, the club has been called Garagum. That year the team won the Cup of Turkmenistan, and among the leading players were Vitaly Alekperov, Zarif Ereshev, Yazguly Hodjageldiev, Berdy Nurmuradov, and Nikolay Yermilov (their goalkeeper, who saved two penalties in the shoot-out in the Cup final).
