1993 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship
The 1993 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament was the 35th annual tournament organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the national champion of men's collegiate soccer among its Division I members in the United States. Two-time defending champions Virginia defeated South Carolina in the championship game, 2–0, to claim their third consecutive and fourth overall national title. The final match was played on December 5 at Richardson Stadium on the campus of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. All other games were played at the home field of the higher seeded team. Richardson Stadium is a stadium in Davidson, North Carolina. It is home to the Davidson Wildcats football, lacrosse, and track and field teams. The stadium incorporates both Stephen B. The Hartwick Hawks men's soccer team represents Hartwick College as member of the Empire 8 in NCAA Division III. The Columbia Lions men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of Columbia University. The team is a member of the Ivy League of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Loyola Greyhounds men's soccer team represents Loyola University Maryland in NCAA Division I soccer. It became a member of the Patriot League on July 1, 2013. Previously it competed in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) from 1989 to 2013.
