Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey in North America) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an Ice rink, ice skating rink with Ice hockey rink, lines and markings specific to the sport. Doug Crossman
Douglas A. Crossman (born June 13, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Crossman was born in Peterborough, Ontario. Playing career Drafted in the sixth round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft from the Ottawa 67's, Crossman played 914 NHL games for the Chicago Black Hawks, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, Hartford Whalers, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay Lightning and St. Louis Blues. He had been also traded to the Quebec Nordiques on June 15, 1992, by the Red Wings with Dennis Vial for cash and then was selected by the Lightning on June 18 in the expansion draft, so he never played a game with the Nordiques. Quebec Nordiques
The Quebec Nordiques (, pronounced in Quebec French, in Canadian English; translated "Northmen" or "Northerners") were a professional ice hockey team based in Quebec City. The Nordiques played in the World Hockey Association (1972–1979) and the National Hockey League (1979–1995). The franchise was relocated to Denver in May 1995 and renamed the Colorado Avalanche. They played their home games at the Colisée de Québec from 1972 to 1995. Christian Ruuttu
Christian Ruuttu (born 20 February 1964) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player, who is a scout. Ruuttu is the father of Alexander Ruuttu, who was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes. His father Kalevi Ruuttu is a former Bandy World Championship referee. Playing career Christian Ruuttu grew up in Pori, where he attended the Swedish-speaking Björneborgs svenska samskola comprehensive school while playing for the Ässät Finnish Elite League club. He was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, 7th round, 134th overall. He played six seasons in Buffalo from 1986–87 through 1991–92, attaining career highs in goals (26 in 1987–88), assists (46 in 1988–89), and points (71 in 1987–88). The Buffalo Sabres are a professional ice hockey team based in Buffalo, New York. Jarmo Myllys
Jarmo Pentti Kalevi Myllys (born 29 May 1965) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted by the Minnesota North Stars as their ninth-round pick, #172 overall, in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. He is currently the goalkeeping coach for Austrian hockey team EC KAC of the EBEL. His jersey number, #35, was retired in Luleå in 2011. Playing career Early career Myllys was born in Savonlinna, and started playing ice hockey for the local team Savonlinnan Pallokerho or SaPKo. He played his first adult season (1982–1983) in SaPko, but moved to Tampere for SM-Liiga games in Ilves. Myllys spent a total of three seasons (1983–1986) with Ilves, then moved to Rauman Lukko where he stayed for two seasons (1986–1988) before moving to the NHL. Rick Mrozik
Richard Donald Mrozik (born January 2, 1975) is an American former professional ice hockey player who played two games in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames in 2002–03. Mrozik was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the 6th round, 136th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He retired following the 2004–05 season after spending eight years in the minor leagues. Minnesota North Stars
The Minnesota North Stars were a professional ice hockey team in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 26 seasons, from 1967 to 1993. The North Stars played their home games at the Met Center in Bloomington, Minnesota, and the team's colors for most of its history were green, yellow, gold and white. The North Stars played 2,062 regular season games and made the NHL playoffs 17 times, including two Stanley Cup Finals appearances, but were unable to win the Stanley Cup, losing to the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins in 1981 and 1991, respectively.
