1992–93 Dallas Mavericks Season
The 1992–93 NBA season was the 13th season for the Dallas Mavericks in the National Basketball Association. The Mavericks received the fourth overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, and selected shooting guard Jim Jackson (basketball), Jim Jackson out of Ohio State University, and also selected center Sean Rooks from the University of Arizona with the 30th overall pick; however, Jackson held out most of his rookie season due to a contract dispute, and refused to play for the Mavericks. Meanwhile, Fat Lever missed the entire regular season due to a knee injury. Richard Adam Adubato (born November 23, 1937) is an American former basketball coach in the National Basketball Association. He has served as head coach for three NBA teams, the Detroit Pistons, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Orlando Magic. He was promoted from assistant to head coach of the 1979–80 Detroit Pistons season, Detroit Pistons on an interim basis upon the dismissal of Dick Vitale on November 8, 1979. Midwest Division (NBA)
The Midwest Division was a division in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The division was created at the start of the 1970–71 season, when the league expanded from 14 to 17 teams with the addition of the Buffalo Braves, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Portland Trail Blazers. The league realigned itself into two conferences, the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference, with two divisions in each conference. The Midwest Division began with four inaugural members, the Chicago Bulls, the Detroit Pistons, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns. The Bulls and the Suns joined from the Western Division, while the Pistons and the Bucks joined from the Eastern Division. Brad Davis (basketball)
Bradley Ernest Davis (born December 17, 1955) is an American former professional basketball player who spent the bulk of his National Basketball Association (NBA) career with the Dallas Mavericks. He has been associated with the Mavericks for the team's entire existence as either a player, assistant coach or broadcaster. Early years Born in Monaca, Pennsylvania, Davis graduated from Monaca High School and played basketball there under head coach Dave Nichol. As a senior, he received Class B all-Pennsylvania honors. Davis also tried out for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball. 1993–94 Orlando Magic Season
The 1993–94 NBA season was the fifth season for the Orlando Magic in the National Basketball Association. Despite narrowly missing the playoffs with a 41–41 record the previous season, the Magic received unexpected good fortune by winning the NBA draft lottery for the second consecutive year, despite having the worst odds. In the 1993 NBA draft, the Magic selected power forward Chris Webber from the University of Michigan with the first overall pick, but soon traded him to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for shooting guard Penny Hardaway from the University of Memphis, and three future first-round draft picks. The team also hired assistant Brian Hill as their new head coach. The 2015–16 Philadelphia 76ers season, the team's 77th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), was the second worst in franchise history, one game better than their 9–73 mark in the 1972–73 season. It was also the second straight season that Joel Embiid, the third pick in the 2014 NBA draft, would not suit up for the 76ers due to a leg injury. Walter Bond
Walter Thomas Bond (born February 1, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player. A 200-pound, 6'5" shooting guard from the University of Minnesota, Bond was not drafted by an NBA team, but did manage to play in 3 NBA seasons. Career He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Bond played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball team from 1987 to 1991, averaging 8.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 93 contests. Coming out of college, he made his professional debut in the World Basketball League with the Saskatchewan Storm. Michael Alan Iuzzolino (born January 22, 1968) is an American basketball coach and former player who is an assistant men's coach at Robert Morris University. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round (35th pick overall) of the 1991 NBA draft. Iuzzolino, a 5-foot 10 inch point guard, played two years in the National Basketball Association (NBA), both with the Mavericks. He averaged 9.0 points per game in his career.
