1992–93 2. Bundesliga
The 1992–93 2. Bundesliga season was the nineteenth season of the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of the German football league system. It was the only season the league consisted of twenty four clubs in a single division, caused by the ongoing integration of clubs from the former East Germany. SC Freiburg, MSV Duisburg and VfB Leipzig were promoted to the Bundesliga while SpVgg Unterhaching, Eintracht Braunschweig, VfL Osnabrück, Fortuna Düsseldorf, VfB Oldenburg, SV Darmstadt 98 and FC Remscheid were relegated to the Oberliga. Wuppertaler SV is a Football in Germany, German association football club located in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia. The 1993–94 Bundesliga was the 31st season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football league. It began on 6 August 1993 and ended on 7 May 1994. SV Werder Bremen were the defending champions. SV Meppen is a German association football club playing in Meppen, Lower Saxony. The club was founded on 29 November 1912 as ''Amisia Meppen'' and joined ''Männer-Turnverein Meppen'' on 8 February 1920 to form ''TuS Meppen 1912''. SV Waldhof Mannheim is a multi-sports club, located in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg. It is most known for its association football team; however, there are also professional handball and table-tennis sides. The club today has a membership of over 2,400. SC Fortuna Köln is a German association football club based in the city of Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia. History The club was formed as on 21 February 1948 through the merger of three local sides: Victoria Köln 1911 (one of two clubs to bear the name), Bayenthaler SV 1920, and Sparkassen-Verein Köln 1927. Of these clubs, Victoria had the best results, winning its way to the first division of the Gauliga Köln-Aachen in 1941 and capturing the division title there the following season.
