Sheila Echols
Sheila Ann Echols (born October 2, 1964) is a retired track and field athlete from the United States who competed in the 100 metres and the long jump. She won a gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in the 4 × 100 m relay. She also won the 1989 IAAF World Cup 100 m title. Career Echols was born in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, she won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay, alongside teammates Alice Brown, 100 m gold medalist Florence Griffith Joyner and 100 m silver medalist Evelyn Ashford. They ran 41.98 seconds. She was also an international long jumper and competed in that event at two Olympics. In Seoul, she failed to qualify for the final, placing 16th with a jump of 6.37m. In 1992, at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, she placed 7th in the final with a jump of 6.62m. Mark Richardson (sprinter)
Mark Ashton Richardson (born 26 July 1972, in Slough) is a retired English sprinter who competed mainly in the 400 metres and 4 × 400 metres relay for Great Britain and England. He won the gold medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1997 World Championships, and again in the same event at the 1998 European Championships. At the Olympic Games, he won silver and bronze medals in the 1992 and 1996 4 × 400 metres relays. In the individual event, Richardson's most significant international results were silver at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and bronze in the 1998 European Championships, in addition to three domestic championships gold medals between 1995 and 2002. Sunday Bada
Sunday Bada (22 June 1969 – 12 December 2011) was a Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres event. He won three medals at the World Indoor Championships, including a gold medal in 1997. His personal best time was 44.63 seconds, and with 45.51 seconds indoor he holds the African indoor record. He set a national record in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2000 Olympics, where the Nigerian team also won gold medals after the disqualification of the US team who had finished first. Early career Bada was born in Kaduna to parents from Ogidi, Kogi State. He broke through at the regional level in 1990, with bronze medals in both 200 and 400 metres at the 1990 African Championships. Dyan Webber (born April 9, 1966) is an American sprinter. She was a silver medalist in the 4 × 400 m relay at the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships. Chen Zhaojing
Chen Zhaojing (born 5 April 1969) is a former Chinese track and field athlete who competed in sprint events. She won four national titles in the 200 metres between 1991 and 1994. Chen also won the 200 m event at the 1993 National Games of China in 22.56s, equaling Taiwanese Wang Huei-chen area record in the process. Marie-José Pérec (; born 9 May 1968) is a retired French track and field sprinter who specialised in the 200 and 400 metres and is a three-time Olympic gold medalist. She was born in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe and moved to Paris when she was 16 years old. Athletics career Pérec first represented France in the 200 metres event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, reaching the quarter-finals.
