1991–92 Real Madrid CF Season
The 1991–92 season was the 61st season for Real Madrid C.F. in La Liga. Summary During the summer, President Ramon Mendoza appointed Radomir Antic as head coach for the upcoming season. On 8 October 1991 Mendoza appointed Leo Beenhakker as club manager until 1994. Real Madrid won no trophies for the second season in a row. Real Madrid lost the league title to Barcelona on the final day of the campaign after a 3–2 defeat against Tenerife. Serbian coach Radomir Antić was suddenly sacked in January despite Real Madrid leading the league in the standings. On 30 April 1992, the club and Mexican striker Hugo Sanchez agreed to end their contract and parted ways after seven years. Real lost the Copa del Rey final to Atlético Madrid and also exited the 1991-92 UEFA Cup after a loss to Torino. Real Madrid Club de Fútbol C, commonly known as Real Madrid C, is a Spanish association football team, and is Real Madrid's second reserve team. Club Deportivo Tenerife, S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. José Miguel González Martín del Campo, known as Míchel (; born 23 March 1963), is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a right midfielder, currently manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah. Mikel Lasa Goikoetxea (born 9 September 1971) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a left-back, currently a manager. He played 267 La Liga matches over 13 seasons (six goals scored), representing Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao. Lasa was part of the squad that won the Olympic gold medal in 1992. Manuel Sanchís
Manuel Sanchís Martínez (26 March 1938 – 28 October 2017) was a Spanish football defender and manager. Like his son, Manolo Sanchís, he represented Real Madrid and Spain. They were one of only four father/son pairs to have won the European Cup/Champions League (the others being Cesare and Paolo Maldini, Carles and Sergio Busquets and Zinedine and Luca Zidane), and he played 213 La Liga matches over ten seasons. Pedro Luis Jaro Reguero (born 22 February 1963) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Playing career After emerging through local CDC Moscardó's youth ranks, Madrid-born Jaro started his professional career with Cádiz CF in the 1983–84 season, playing once in an eventual La Liga relegation.
