1990–91 Irish Cup
The 1990–91 Irish Cup was the 111th edition of the Irish Cup, Northern Ireland's premier football knock-out cup competition. It concluded on 4 May 1991 with the final. Glentoran were the defending champions after winning their 15th Irish Cup last season, defeating Portadown 3–0 in the 1990 final. This season Portadown went one better by winning their first Irish cup in their fifth appearance in the final. They defeated Glenavon 2–1 in the final. Irish Cup
The Irish Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly referred to as the Irish Cup (currently known as the Clearer Water Irish Cup for sponsorship purposes) is the primary Association football, football single elimination, knockout cup competition in Northern Ireland. Inaugurated in 1881, it is the fourth-oldest national cup competition in the world. Prior to the break-away from the Irish Football Association by clubs from what would become the Irish Free State in 1921, the Irish Cup was the national cup competition for the whole of Ireland. Since 3 October 2023, the cup has been sponsored by ''Clearer Water''. Dundela Football Club, nicknamed "The Duns" is a semi-professional, Northern Ireland, Northern Irish Association football, football club from Belfast, currently playing in the NIFL Championship, and plays its home matches at Wilgar Park. Portstewart () is a small seaside town in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. It had a population of 7,854 people in the 2021 United Kingdom census. It is a seaside resort, neighbouring both Coleraine in County Londonderry and Portrush in County Antrim. Armoy ( ) is a village and civil parish in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is 5.5 miles (9 km) southwest of Ballycastle and 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Ballymoney. According to an estimate in 2013 by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency it had a population of 1,122. The village is centred on the River Bush and at the foot of two of the nine Glens of Antrim; Glenshesk and Glentaisie. The Armoy parish also includes part of Knocklayd mountain which lies to the northeast of the village. It is one of the bigger villages in the area and has two primary schools, shops, a post office, public houses and other community facilities. The village was dominated by public sector housing for many years, but in the late 1980s and early 1990s, new housing developments began around the village.
