1989–90 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 1989–90 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 24th edition of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras, Honduran Liga Nacional. The format of the tournament was the same as the 1988–89 Honduran Liga Nacional, 1987-88 season and was a rematch of the 1988–89 Honduran Liga Nacional, 23rd edition final. Club Deportivo Olimpia successfully defended its 1988–89 Honduran Liga Nacional, 1989 title after defeating in the final runner-up Real C.D. España. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras, known as Liga Hondubet for sponsorship reasons (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of domestic Association football, football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Apertura and Clausura, Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Honduran Liga Nacional de Ascenso, Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Honduran Liga Nacional de Ascenso, Liga de Ascenso. Gilberto Leonel Machado García (born 23 March 1962) is a retired Honduran footballer who played as a midfielder for Marathón, Olimpia, and Deportes Progreseño in Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras. He is the current manager of Honduran second division side Sula de La Lima. Club career Born in San Pedro Sula, Machado played club football in Honduras. He made his debut for Marathón on 29 July 1979 against Atlético Portuario and scored his first goal on 22 February 1981 against Real España. Machado was the Honduran league's top goal-scorer in 1987, scoring 19 goals for Marathon. He is also Marathon's all-time leading goal-scorer, scoring 78 goals from 1979 to 1991. Nicolás Suazo Velásquez (born 9 January 1965) is a Honduran retired professional footballer who played as a striker. Francisco Morazán Department
Francisco Morazán (, abbreviated FMO) is one of the departments of Honduras. It is located in the central part of the nation. The departmental capital is Tegucigalpa, which is also Honduras's national capital. The department is very mountainous, with rugged ranges covered in pine forests; which are rocky and mostly clay. Valleys, like those of Guaimaca, Talanga, and Amarateca, are interspersed among the ranges. Many of the high mountain peaks house cloud forests, like La Tigra National park or Cerro Uyuca.
