The 1989–90 FC Bayern Munich season was the 90th season in the club's history and 25th season since promotion from Regionalliga Süd in 1965. Bayern won its 11th 1989–90 Bundesliga, Bundesliga title. The club also reached the third round of the 1989–90 DFB-Pokal, DFB-Pokal and the semifinals of the 1989–90 European Cup, European Cup. Marius Mihai Lăcătuș (; born 5 April 1964) is a Romanian professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player. Erland Johnsen
Erland Johnsen (born 5 April 1967) is a Norwegian football manager and former professional footballer who is director of youth at Sarpsborg 08 FF. As a player he was a centre back from 1983 until 1999, notably in the Premier League for Chelsea and in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich. He also played for Moss, Rosenborg and Strømsgodset and earned 24 caps for Norway. He moved into management in 1999 with Strømsgodset and later with Moss, Follo, Lillestrøm and Strømmen. Manfred Bender
Manfred Bender (born 24 May 1966) is a German football manager and former player. He last managed Austria Klagenfurt. Between 1989 and 1999 he played for FC Bayern Munich, Karlsruher SC and 1860 Munich. In total Bender played 229 games in the Bundesliga, scoring 42 goals. Bender is most fondly remembered for a goal scored against Oliver Kahn and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Career In summer 1989, Bender was playing in the second level of the Bundesliga, for SpVgg Unterhaching, then FC Bayern Munich. He was an emerging talent of the same style as Jürgen Kohler, Alan McInally and Radmilo Mihajlovic. In spite of this competition he made 20 appearances in the season and scored two goals. Thomas Kastenmaier
Thomas Kastenmaier (born 31 May 1966) is a German football coach and former player. Mainly a right back who could also appear as a midfielder, he possessed a thunderous right-foot shot, often scoring from free kicks, and played most of his career for Borussia Mönchengladbach. Career Born in Munich, Kastenmaier started his professional career with local Bayern Munich. He scored in his Bundesliga debut, a 4–0 home win over Hamburger SV, on 31 August 1989. Deemed surplus to requirements after having appeared in only nine games for the 1990 champions, Kastenmaier joined Borussia Mönchengladbach, scoring nine goals in two separate seasons, while also helping the club to the 1995 German Cup. Jürgen Kohler (born 6 October 1965) is a German former professional footballer and manager, who played as a centre-back. He is currently the U17 manager of Bonner SC. Playing career Club Kohler enjoyed a lengthy career at the highest level with exactly 500 top flight league matches, playing primarily as a centre back in the German Bundesliga, and in the Italian Serie A, achieving notable success both at domestic and international level with FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus.
