1989–90 Cypriot Third Division
The 1989–90 Cypriot Third Division was the 19th season of the Cypriot third-level football league. APEP Pelendriou won their 1st title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1989–90 Cypriot Third Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first two teams were promoted to 1990–91 Cypriot Second Division. The last three teams were relegated to the 1990–91 Cypriot Fourth Division. Point system Teams received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a loss. Cypriot Third Division
The Cypriot Third Division (Greek language, Greek: Πρωτάθλημα Γ΄ Κατηγορίας) is the third tier Association football, football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division. History The Cypriot Third Division was held for the first time in the 1970–71 Cypriot Third Division, 1970–71 season as the third level of the Cypriot football. Othellos Athienou FC
Othellos Athienou () is a Cypriot football club based in Athienou, Larnaca and competes in the Cypriot first Division. The football department is the only activity of the club at the moment, which participated for the second time in the Cypriot First Division, the top football level division in Cyprus after 8 years from the first season in top flight. The club colours are green and white. History Othellos was founded in 1933. The club colours are green and white and they play in Othellos Athienou Stadium. In 1967, the club joined the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) and since then has participated regularly in the all championships of the Association. Othellos from its foundation has demonstrated "rich" athletic and social activity. From 1987, Othellos is accommodated in its privately owned residence. 1989–90 Cypriot Cup
The 1989–90 Cypriot Cup was the 48th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 71 clubs entered the competition. It began on 29 November 1989 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 9 June 1990 with the final which was held at Tsirio Stadium. Nea Salamis won their 1st Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Omonia 3–2 in the final. Format In the 1989–90 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 28 of the 41 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of seven knock-out rounds. In the preliminary rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round.
