1989–90 Belgian Cup
The 1989–90 Belgian Cup was the 35th season of the main knockout competition in Belgium, Belgian association football, the Belgian Cup. Final rounds The final phase started when all clubs from the top two divisions in Belgian football entered the competition in the round of 64 (18 clubs from Belgian Pro League, first division, 16 clubs from Belgian Second Division, second division and 30 clubs from the qualifications). The first two rounds were played in one leg, while the next 3 rounds (round of 16, quarter-finals and semifinals) were played in two legs. The final game was played at the King Baudouin Stadium, Heysel Stadium between R.F.C. de Liège, FC Liège and K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot, Germinal Ekeren, FC Liège winning 2–1. Gunther Hofmans
Gunther Jozef Hofmans (born 3 January 1967) is a former Belgian professional footballer who spent his entire career in Belgium playing as an attacking midfielder and striker for Beerschot AC, Germinal Ekeren and Beerschot AC, Germinal Beerschot. He also represented the Belgium national football team, Belgium national team, winning one cap. He currently works as a team manager for Royal Antwerp F.C., Royal Antwerp, since 2011, having previously worked in the same position, at one of his previous clubs, Germinal Beerschot, from 2008 to 2011. Club career Hofmans started his career at youth club KFC Ranst, where he played from 1975 to 1984. He then joined K.R.C. Mechelen, Racing Mechelen in 1984, before moving to FC Nijlen the following year. Nebojša Malbaša
Nebojša Malbaša (; born 25 June 1959) is a Serbian former football manager and player. Playing career After starting out with Zmaj Zemun, Malbaša played for Rijeka in the Yugoslav First League from 1981 to 1986, making 118 appearances and scoring 25 goals. In October 1984. he played in the famous win over Spanish giants Real Madrid in the UEFA Cup. He subsequently spent one year at Dinamo Zagreb. In 1987, Malbaša moved abroad to Belgium and signed with FC Liège, where he formed a prolific partnership with compatriot Zvonko Varga. He appeared in 110 games and netted 46 times in the Belgian First Division over the next four seasons. Between 1991 and 1995, Malbaša played for Charleroi, amassing 114 appearances and scoring 42 goals in the top flight of Belgian football. Hoogstraten () is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises Hoogstraten, Meer, Meerle, Meersel-Dreef, Minderhout and Wortel (Meersel-Dreef includes the northernmost point in Belgium). Eendracht Gerhees Oostham
The Eendracht is a former tidal branch of river Scheldt that has been channelised to form the northern stretch of the Scheldt-Rhine Canal. It flows from the Zoommeer lake (formerly part of the Oosterschelde) near Bergen op Zoom past the town and eponymous island of Tholen towards the former island of Sint Philipsland, where it used to end in the Krabbenkreek estuary. The passage to the estuary has been closed off, however, and an additional stretch of canal was dug to connect the Eendracht to the Krammer lake, itself a former estuary closed off from the sea during the Delta Works.
