The Yugoslav First League ( Bosnian: Prva savezna liga u fudbalu, sr-Cyrl-Latn, Прва савезна лига у фудбалу, Prva savezna liga u fudbalu, , , , , ) was the premier football league in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1941) and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1992). The First League Championship was one of two national competitions held annually in Yugoslavia, the Yugoslav Cup being the other. The league became fully professional in 1967. Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1923–1940) This was the first club competition on a national level for clubs from Kingdom of Yugoslavia (named the ''Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes'' until 1930). The league was started in 1923 and the first four seasons had a cup tournament format, while the first round-robin league competition was held in 1927. 1987–88 Yugoslav Second League
The 1987–88 Yugoslav Second League season was the 42nd season of the Second Federal League (), the second level association football competition of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. The league was contested in two regional groups (West Division and East Division), with 18 clubs each. This was the last season under that format as the following season featured unified second league with 20 clubs. West Division Teams A total of eighteen teams contested the league, including twelve sides from the 1986–87 season, two clubs relegated from the 1985–86 Yugoslav First League and four sides promoted from the Inter-Republic Leagues played in the 1986–87 season. Hrvatski nogometni klub Cibalia, commonly known as Cibalia Vinkovci or simply Cibalia, is a Croatian football club from the town of Vinkovci in eastern Croatia.
