1986–87 Cypriot Cup
The 1986–87 Cypriot Cup was the 45th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 57 clubs entered the competition. It began on 19 November 1986 with the first preliminary round and concluded on 20 June 1987 with the final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. AEL Limassol won their 5th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Apollon 1–0 in the final. Format In the 1986–87 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division, the Cypriot Third Division and 12 of the 46 teams of the Cypriot Fourth Division. The competition consisted of seven knock-out rounds. In the preliminary rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. History The Cypriot Cup started in the 1934–35 season, when the Cyprus Football Association was founded. AOL – Omonia Lakatamias
Lakatamia ( el, Λακατάμια ; tr, Lakadamya) is a southwestern suburb of Nicosia, Cyprus. In terms of population, Lakatamia municipality is the third largest municipality in Nicosia district and the fifth largest municipality in Cyprus (after Limassol, Strovolos, Nicosia and Larnaca). In 2011 Lakatamia had a population of 38,345. Due to the expansion of the Nicosia urban area, Lakatamia has grown from two small villages (Upper and Lower Lakatamia) into a sizeable suburb. Kormakitis (Cypriot Arabic: ; el, Κορμακίτης, ''Kormakítis''; tr, Kormacit or ) is a small village in Cyprus. It is under the ''de facto'' control of Northern Cyprus. Kormakitis is one of four traditionally Maronites in Cyprus, Maronite villages in Cyprus, the other three being Asomatos, Kyrenia, Asomatos, Agia Marina (Skylloura), Agia Marina and Karpaseia.
