1985–86 Syracuse Orangemen Basketball Team
The 1985–86 Syracuse Orangemen basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 1985–86 men's college basketball season. The head coach was Jim Boeheim, serving for his 10th year. The team played home games at the JMA Wireless Dome, Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York, Syracuse, New York (state), New York. The team finished with a 26–6 (14–2) record and received at an large bid to the 1986 1986 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament. As the #2 seed in the East Region Syracuse began with an easy win over 1985–86 Brown Bears men's basketball team, Brown 101–52. The Big East Conference was a List of college athletic conferences, collegiate athletics conference that consisted of as many as 16 universities in the eastern half of the United States from 1979 to 2013. The conference's members participated in 24 National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA sports.
