Alpha Ethniki
The Super League Greece 1 (), or Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Greece and the highest level of the Greek football league system. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced ''Alpha Ethniki'' at the top of the Greek league system. The members of the cooperative are the Football Limited Companies (P.A.E.) that have the right to participate in the Super League 1 championship. The president of Super League 1 is Evangelos Marinakis, Vangelis Marinakis, who has been re-elected for the third time. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games each followed by 6-game Championship play-offs to decide the champions. Dinos Kouis (Greek: Ντίνος Κούης) is a Greek retired footballer, one of the best to have ever played for Aris Thessaloniki. Thomas Mavros
Thomas Mavros (, born 31 May 1954) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker. Initially, a legend for Panionios, he was a relevation of the Greek championship at the age of 16. He became one of the leaders of AEK Athens and led them to huge success, during the 70's and 80's. Grigoris Charalampidis (; born 6 January 1958) is a Greek former footballer who played as a forward in the Alpha Ethniki throughout the 1980s. 1983–84 Greek Football Cup
The 1983–84 Greek Football Cup was the 42nd edition of the Greek Football Cup. Tournament details Totally 76 teams participated, 16 from Alpha Ethniki, 20 from Beta, and 40 from Gamma. It was held in 7 rounds, included final. An additional round was held between first and second, with 6 matches, in order that the teams would continue to be 32. Concerning the previous years, there are single matches only in the first round. The third round was the most interesting phase of competition.
