1982–83 KNVB Cup
The 65th edition of the KNVB Cup edition of the Dutch national football annual knockout tournament for the KNVB Cup. 46 teams contested, beginning on 4 September 1982 and ending with the two legs of the final on 10 and 17 May 1983. Ajax defeating NEC 3–1 on both occasions and won the cup for the ninth time. From the quarter finals onwards, two-legged matches were held. If two teams drew both matches, or if they both won one, extra time was played right after the second match, no matter what the aggregate score was. Heracles Almelo is a Dutch professional football club based in Almelo, founded in 1903. The club has won the Dutch national title twice, in 1927 and 1941. FC Wageningen (before 1978 ''Wageningen'' and ''WVV Wageningen'') was a Dutch football club which was founded on 27 August 1911., The club played its matches in the Wageningse Berg stadium. BV Veendam
Sportclub Veendam () was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J. Veendam in 1909, Veendam in 1910, SC Veendam in 1974, BV Veendam in 1997 and again SC Veendam in 2011.
