The Stanley Cup Finals in ice hockey (also known as the Stanley Cup Final among various media, ) is the annual championship series of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Hartford Whalers were a professional ice hockey team based for most of its 25-year existence in Hartford, Connecticut.
