1980–81 Yugoslav First Basketball League
The 1980–81 Yugoslav First Basketball League season was the 37th season of the Yugoslav First Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in SFR Yugoslavia. The season ended with Partizan winning the league championship; despite finishing the season with an identical 19-3 record as Cibona, Partizan was better in their seasonal head-to-head, winning both of their contests during the season. Notable events Partizan vs. Cibona season series The season was decided in two Partizan-Cibona games. First one was played in Zagreb during the first part of the season. The visiting team jumped out to an early 20+ point lead carried by Dragan Kićanović, Miško Marić, and Boban Petrović. Yugoslav First Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in the former country of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945, and folded in 1992 (1991–92 YUBA League, 1991–92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Although each of the former Yugoslav countries now have their own national domestic leagues, the six nations also now take part in the ABA League (commonly known as the Adriatic League), which was founded in 2001; and which is, the closest basketball league in existence today, that is similar to the former Yugoslav First Federal Basketball League. Dragan Todorić
Dragan Todorić (; born 27 July 1954) is a Serbian former professional basketball player and current adviser to the President of Partizan Belgrade. He is known for a rare achievement: taking part—either as a player or subsequently as part of the club management—in each one of the 50 trophies KK Partizan won throughout its history. Club playing career In 1967, Todorić started his playing career in Sloga from his hometown Kraljevo. While competing for young Yugoslav national team he drew attention from several Yugoslav top clubs, including Partizan fierce rivals, Crvena zvezda. Eventually, he chose to sign for Partizan in 1972, and remained in the first team until 1983. Arsenije Pešić ( sr-cyr, Арсеније Пешић; born 10 June 1955) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. Playing career Pešić played most of this career for Partizan. He was a member of the trophy generation led by Dragan Kićanović and Dražen Dalipagić in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He won two Korać Cups and two Yugoslav championships with the Partizan. Pešić played the first half of the 1987–88 season for Segafredo Gorizia of Italian Serie A2. He averaged 17.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game, oven nine games. Also, he played for Sloboda Tuzla and for Vojvodina where he finished his playing career after 1988–89 season.
