1980–81 Cypriot Second Division
The 1980–81 Cypriot Second Division was the 26th season of the Cypriot second-level football league. Evagoras Paphos won their 3rd title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1980–81 Cypriot Second Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first two teams were promoted to 1981–82 Cypriot First Division. The last two teams were relegated to the 1981–82 Cypriot Third Division. Cypriot Second Division
The Cypriot Second Division () is the second highest association football, football division of the Cypriot football league system. Administered by the Cyprus Football Association, it is contested by 16 teams, with the top three teams being Promotion and relegation, promoted to the Cypriot First Division and the last three teams being Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Cypriot Third Division. History The Cypriot Second Division started unofficially the 1934–35 football season as the second level of the Cypriot football (Cyprus Football Association founded in 1934). The competition consisted of teams that didn't participate in Cypriot First Division and the reserve teams of the Cypriot First Division clubs. Ethnikos Assia FC
Ethnikos Assia Football Club () is a Cypriot football team currently playing in the Cypriot Second Division. The team was established in Assia, Famagusta, but since the Turkish invasion of 1974, Ethnikos became a refugee team. 1980–81 Cypriot Cup
The 1980–81 Cypriot Cup was the 39th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 41 clubs entered the competition. It began on 20 December 1980 with the preliminary round and concluded on 27 June 1981 with the replay final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. Omonia won their 5th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Enosis Neon Paralimni 3–0 in the final. Format In the 1980–81 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division and the Cypriot Third Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In all rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. Akritas Chlorakas () is a Cypriot football club based in Chloraka, Paphos. The club was founded in 1971 and currently plays in the Cypriot Second Division. Akritas' colours are green and white, and they play their home games at the Chloraka Municipal Stadium. The club is owned by Lithuanian investor Liutauras Varanavičius. Ethnikos Achna Football Club (), commonly known as Ethnikos Achna, or simply Ethnikos, is a Cypriot professional football club based in the village of Dasaki Achnas. Founded in 1968, the club currently plays in the Cypriot First Division. Ethnikos' home ground is the Dasaki Stadium, which has a capacity of 7000 seats.
