1978–80 Nordic Football Championship
The 1978–80 Nordic Football Championship was the 12th Nordic Football Championship staged. Four Nordic country, Nordic countries participated: Denmark national football team, Denmark, Finland national football team, Finland, Norway national football team, Norway and Sweden men's national football team, Sweden. Denmark won the tournament, its second Nordic Championship win. Pål Jacobsen
Pål Jacobsen (born 20 May 1956) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He is the brother of Tom Jacobsen. His debut for Ham-Kam came at an age of 16 years and 358 days, and he is among the youngest players ever in the Norwegian top division. In the 1981 season Jacobsen became top goalscorer in the Norwegian top division scoring 16 goals. At this date he was playing for Vålerenga. He scored 13 goals in 42 caps for the national team. Per Christian Røntved (27 January 1949 – 16 May 2023) was a Danish professional footballer who played for German club Werder Bremen from 1972 to 1979. He also played for Danish clubs Brønshøj BK, Randers Freja, and Hvidovre IF. He was named 1972 Danish ''Player of the Year'', and was the first to earn 75 caps for the Denmark national team, doing so from 1970 to 1982. Club career Born at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, Røntved started his club career at local club Brønshøj Boldklub. He made his senior debut as a left winger at the age of 18, and played alongside his footballing idol Erik Nielsen at Brønshøj.
