Mersin İdmanyurdu (also ''Mersin İdman Yurdu'', ''Mersin İY'', or ''MİY'') Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean Region, Turkey, Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1977–78. The 1977–78 Turkish First Football League, 1977–78 season was the sixth season of Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team in Turkish First Football League, First League, the first level division in Turkey. They have relegated to second division at the end of the season. It was the second relegation from first division after 1973–74 Mersin İdmanyurdu season, 1973–74. Team's bad performance continued in Cup matches as well. The team started the season with coach Kadri Aytaç. However Aytaç left the club and became the manager of Rizespor after the 7th round. Trainers Seyfi Alanya and Turgut Kafkas managed the team for the rest of the first half games. Orhan Yüksel became the coach at the start of the second half of the season. Mersin İdmanyurdu
Mersin İdman Yurdu was a Turkish sports club from Mersin, Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean Region. The team played in the Turkish first division for 15 seasons, and after the 1983–84 season the football team played in the Turkish second and third divisions. The team was promoted to the Turkish second level division after the 2008–09 season. MİY became the champions of the Turkish second division during the 2010–11 season and earned promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig during the 2011–12 Süper Lig, 2011–12 season. Ordu () or Altınordu is a port city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and the capital of Ordu Province. The city forms the urban part of the Altınordu, Ordu, Altınordu district, with a population of 235,096 in 2023. Orduspor is a Turkish football club founded in 1967. The club is located in Ordu, Turkey and played their home games at 19 Eylül Stadium. The team managed to qualify for the Turkish Super League again in 2011. But the last spell in top level finished in 2013. İnönü Stadium () was a football stadium in Istanbul, Turkey and the home ground of the football club Beşiktaş. Previously, the ground had also been shared with Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.
