1976–77 Dundee F.C. Season
The 1976–77 season was the 75th season in which Dundee competed at a Scottish national level, playing in the second tier for the first time since the 1946–47 season. The club would fail to achieve promotion, finishing in 3rd place. Dundee would also compete in both the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup, where they would be eliminated in the group stage of the League Cup, and would reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup before being defeated by Celtic. For the first time in their history, Dundee's kit would be made by an official manufacturer, namely Admiral, who brought their unique look to Dens Park with their curved stripes. Falkirk ( ; ; ) is a town in the Central Lowlands of Scotland, historically within the county of Stirlingshire. It lies in the Forth Valley, northwest of Edinburgh and northeast of Glasgow. Broomfield Park was a association football, football stadium in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, home of Airdrieonians F.C. (1878), Airdrieonians from 1892 until it was closed after the 1993–94 in Scottish football, 1993–94 football season.It was just wide, and was built in a natural hollow. Airdrieonians Football Club is a Scottish professional football team in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, who are members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) and play in the . They were formed in 2002 as Airdrie United Football Club following the folding of the original Airdrieonians club, formed in 1878. The club's official name was changed in 2013 with the approval of the Scottish Football Association to the traditional name of Airdrieonians. An own goal occurs in sports when a player performs actions that result in scoring points for the opposition, such as when a Association football, footballer puts a ball into their own net. Joe Carson (footballer)
Joe Carson (born 24 November 1953) is a Scottish former professional association football, footballer who spent his entire playing career in the Scottish leagues, playing mostly as a central defender. Early life Born in Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute, Carson was brought up in the town of Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire. His younger brother, Tom Carson (footballer), Tom Carson, was also a footballer and Dumbarton manager. Career Carson was awarded Motherwell's Player of the Year award for the 1986–1987 season.
