Danny Goodwin
Danny Kay Goodwin (born September 2, 1953) is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a first baseman and designated hitter from 1975 to 1982. He also played in the Nippon Professional Baseball league with the Nankai Hawks in . Goodwin is the only baseball player to be drafted first overall in the Major League draft in two separate drafts. 1971 and 1975 draft first overall pick Goodwin was originally drafted first overall by the Chicago White Sox in the 1971 Major League Baseball draft as a catcher straight out of Peoria Central High School. Chris Knapp (baseball)
Robert Christian Knapp (born September 16, 1953) is an American former professional baseball right-handed pitcher, whose career totals include 122 Major League Baseball (MLB) games pitched, for the Chicago White Sox (–) and California Angels (–). He won 12 and 14 games, respectively, in back-to-back seasons (–). Knapp stood and weighed . After graduating from Central Michigan University, Knapp was selected in the first round of the 1975 Major League Baseball draft by the White Sox. He played parts of the , , and seasons with Chicago, although most of his time in the first two years of his career was spent in the White Sox farm system. David Crockett Early College High School is a Public school (government funded), public high school located in South Austin, Texas. The school opened in 1968 and is part of the Austin Independent School District (AISD). It was named after U.S. frontiersman Davy Crockett. Clint Hurdle
Clinton Merrick Hurdle (born July 30, 1957) is an American former professional baseball outfielder and manager who currently serves as both the interim bench and hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Hurdle played for the Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, New York Mets, and St. Louis Cardinals, and previously managed the Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Labeled a "phenom" by ''Sports Illustrated'' at age twenty, Hurdle played 515 games at the major league level. After retiring from playing baseball, Hurdle became a manager.
