1974–75 KNVB Cup
The 1974-75 KNVB Cup was the 57th edition of the Dutch national football annual knockout tournament for the KNVB Cup. 46 teams contested, beginning in October 1974 and ending at the final on 15 May 1975. PSV unsuccessfully defended its 1974 title in the Round of 16 losing to FC Wageningen, 3–2. FC Den Haag successfully pursued on 15 May 1975 in De Kuip, Rotterdam its second KNVB Cup defeating FC Twente, 1–0. 21,000 attended. FC Den Haag previously lifted the cup in 1968. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
In association football, a penalty shoot-out (previously known as kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) has expired. For example, in a FIFA World Cup, penalties are used in elimination matches; the round of 32, the round of 16, the quarter-finals, the semi-finals, and the final. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different players; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. SC Cambuur, also known as Cambuur Leeuwarden, or simply Cambuur, () is a Dutch professional football club from the city of Leeuwarden formed on 19 June 1964. BV Veendam
Sportclub Veendam () was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J. Veendam in 1909, Veendam in 1910, SC Veendam in 1974, BV Veendam in 1997 and again SC Veendam in 2011. RBC, previously known as RBC Roosendaal, is a football club based in Roosendaal, Netherlands. After Extra Time
Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a Tie (draw), tie or draw where the scores are the same.
