1974–75 Cupa României
The 1974–75 Cupa României was the 37th edition of Romania's most prestigious Association football, football Single-elimination tournament, cup competition. The title was won by FC Rapid București, Rapid București against CS Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Craiova. Format The competition is an annual Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. If a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in Overtime (sports), extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, then the winner will be established at Penalty shoot-out (association football), penalty kicks. From the first edition, the teams from Divizia A entered in competition in sixteen finals, rule which remained till today. Fotbal Club Rapid 1923, commonly known as Rapid București () or simply as Rapid, is a Romanian professional association football, football club based in Bucharest, that competes in the Liga I. Fotbal Club Politehnica Timișoara (), commonly known as Politehnica Timișoara or simply Poli Timișoara, was a Romanian Association football, football club from Timișoara, Timiș County, established in 1921 and dissolved in 2012.
