Yugoslav First Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in the former country of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945, and folded in 1992 (1991–92 YUBA League, 1991–92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Although each of the former Yugoslav countries now have their own national domestic leagues, the six nations also now take part in the ABA League (commonly known as the Adriatic League), which was founded in 2001; and which is, the closest basketball league in existence today, that is similar to the former Yugoslav First Federal Basketball League. KK Rabotnički
KK Rabotnički () is a basketball club based in Skopje, North Macedonia. They currently play in the Macedonian Premier League (basketball), Macedonian First League and ABA League Second Division. The club has won the Macedonian championship 15 times and the Macedonian Basketball Cup, Macedonian Cup 10 times. History The club was founded in 1946 in Skopje. 1970–71 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1970–71 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 14th installment of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Arena Deurne, in Antwerp, Belgium, on April 8, 1971. It was won by CSKA Moscow, who defeated Ignis Varese, by a result of 67–53. Competition system * 27 teams (European national domestic league champions, plus the then current title holders), playing in a tournament system, played knock-out rounds on a home and away basis. Ivo Daneu (born 6 October 1937) is a retired Slovenian professional basketball player and basketball coach, coach. During his playing career, at a height of tall, he played at the point guard and shooting guard positions. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. He was voted the Golden Badge, Best Sportsperson of the Year in Yugoslavia, in 1967, and the Slovenian Sportsperson of the Year, in 1969. Vinko Jelovac (alternate spelling: Vinto Jelovac) (born 18 November 1948 in Pazin, SR Croatia, Yugoslavia) is a former Slovenian-Croatian professional basketball player and coach. At a height of tall, and a weight of , he played at the center position. Jelovac was named Slovenian Sportsman of the Year, in 1973 and 1974. Jelovac, who is the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Yugoslav First Federal League, was inducted into the Slovenian Athletes Hall of Fame, in 2012. Akademski košarkarski klub Branik Maribor (), commonly referred to as AKK Branik Maribor or simply Branik, is a basketball team based in Maribor, Slovenia. As of the 2025–26 season, Branik competes in the Slovenian Third League, the third level of Slovenian basketball. Branik was originally formed in 1948 as a basketball section of SŠD Polet, but it disbanded in 2005 due to financial problems.
