Slovenian Republic League
The Slovenian Republic Football League () was the highest Association football, football league in Slovenia within the Yugoslav football league system, Yugoslav football system. During the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the league was known as the Ljubljana Subassociation League () and was one of the qualifying tournaments for the Yugoslav First League, Yugoslav Championship. During the SFR Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia era, it was a third-tier league for most of its existence, but in 1988 it became a fourth-tier league. Before that, the winner was promoted to the Yugoslav Second League, and after that it was promoted to the Yugoslav Third League, Yugoslav Inter-Republic League. NK Slavija Vevče
Nogometni klub Slavija Vevče (), commonly referred to as NK Slavija Vevče or simply Slavija, was a Slovenian football club based in Vevče. The club was formed in 1921 and played in the Slovenian PrvaLiga in the 1994–95 season, after they replaced Svoboda before the start of the competition. They were sponsored by local printing company SET for most of the time, therefore their first team often played under the name SET Vevče rather than Slavija. In 1996, they merged with Slovan and moved to Kodeljevo to play there as ND Slovan-Slavija for three seasons. They have won the Slovenian Second League in 1996–97, but were then relegated from the first and second divisions in two seasons. After 1999, Slavija was eventually left out of the club's name, playing from then onwards only as Slovan. NK Kovinar Maribor
Nogometni klub Kovinar Maribor (), commonly referred to as NK Kovinar Maribor or simply Kovinar, was a Slovenian football club from Maribor. The club was dissolved in 2006. History Kovinar Maribor was founded on 25 May 1947 and was located in the Tezno District of Maribor. During the booming economy in Maribor after the World War II, the club was financially supported by the local engineering industry company Metalna Maribor and the vehicle manufacturer TAM, both based in Tezno. Between the end of World War II in 1945 and the independence of Slovenia in 1991, Kovinar spent a total of 18 years in the Slovenian Republic Football League. In 1961, they helped the newly formed NK Maribor by giving them some players and sports equipment. Nogometni klub Celje (), commonly referred to as NK Celje or simply Celje (), is a professional association football, football club from Celje, Slovenia. They play in the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the top tier of Slovenian football. Together with NK Maribor, Maribor, they are the only club that have participated in every season of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its formation in 1991. Nogometni klub Rudar Trbovlje () or simply NK Rudar Trbovlje is a Slovenian football club from Trbovlje that competes in the Slovenian Third League, the third tier of the Slovenian football system. The club have a long-standing local rivalry with NK Zagorje, which is known as the Zasavje Derby. History The history of football in Trbovlje dates back to 1922, when ŠK Zora was established. In the same year, the club aroused a lot of interest in this sport among youth working class. In 1924, the club was banned after a political clash with Orjuna. Nogometni klub Železničar Maribor (), commonly referred to as NK Železničar Maribor or simply Železničar, was a Slovenian football club from Maribor. They qualified for the top division of Slovenian football, the Slovenian PrvaLiga, in the 1992–93 season, but were relegated in their first season, never returning to the top level. NK Svoboda Ljubljana (''Nogometni klub Svoboda Ljubljana'', 'Svoboda Ljubljana Football Club'), commonly referred to as simply Svoboda, is a Slovenian football club from Ljubljana which plays in the Slovenian Third League.
