The 1968–69 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 4th edition of the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras, Honduran Liga Nacional. The format of the tournament consisted of a three Round-robin tournament, round-robin schedule. F.C. Motagua, C.D. Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras, known as Liga Hondubet for sponsorship reasons (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of domestic Association football, football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Apertura and Clausura, Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Honduran Liga Nacional de Ascenso, Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Honduran Liga Nacional de Ascenso, Liga de Ascenso. Flávio Ortega (1944 – 6 February 2007) was a Brazilian football player and manager, who spent most of his career in Central America, mainly in Honduras. Club career Ortega was a Brazilian footballer who started playing in 1962 and moved abroad to play in El Salvador. He came to Honduras in 1968. Alfredo Hawit Banegas (born 8 October 1951) is a Honduran lawyer and former footballer. He is the head of the National Autonomous Federation of Football of Honduras and was made the interim head of CONCACAF on 4 June 2011.
