1968 Cupa României Final
The 1968 Cupa României Final was the 30th final of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. It was disputed between Dinamo București and Rapid București, and was won by Dinamo București after a game with 4 goals after extra time. Alexandru Neagu failed a penalty in 90 minutes for Rapid București. It was the 3rd cup for Dinamo București. 1967–68 Cupa României
The 1967–68 Cupa României was the 30th edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Rapid București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. Each tie is played as a single leg. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. In the first round proper, if a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, the team who played away will qualify. Ion Nunweiller (9 January 1936 – 3 February 2015) was a Romanian Association football, football Defender (association football), defender and manager. Ilie Greavu
Ilie Greavu (19 July 1937 – 1 April 2007) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Club career Greavu, nicknamed ''Cauciuc'' (Rubber) because he could jump one meter and 20 centimeters high, was born on 19 July 1937 in Sibiu, Romania and started to play football in 1952 at local club Progresul, afterwards in 1955 moving at Progresul CPCS București in Divizia B. He was transferred at Rapid București where on 28 August 1957 he made his Divizia A debut in a 1–0 away loss against Energia Petroșani. He helped Rapid win the 1966–67 Divizia A which was the first title in the club's history, being used by coach Valentin Stănescu in 25 matches and after the last game of the season against Petrolul Ploiești which ended 0–0, the team earning the point that mathematically made them champions, Greavu said:"I played the last thirty minutes with a lump in my throat. Dan Coe
Daniel Coe (8 September 1941 – 19 October 1981) was a Romanian football defender. He was part of the Romanian team that reached quarterfinals at the 1964 Summer Olympics, and later participated at the 1970 FIFA World Cup, 1970 World Cup. Ion Motroc
Ion Motroc (born 14 February 1937) is a former Romanian football defender who played for clubs in Romania and Turkey. Club career Motroc was born on 14 February 1937 in Bucharest, growing up in the Giulești neighborhood, starting to play junior level football in 1950 at local club Locomotiva București, making his Divizia A debut for the senior squad under coach Iosif Lengheriu on 17 May 1953 at age 16 in a 0–0 draw against Știința Cluj. Nicolae Lupescu (17 December 1940 – 6 September 2017) was a Romanian football defender and manager. Club career Early career Nicolae Lupescu was born on 17 December 1940 in Bucharest, Romania. Bazil Marian
Bazil Marian (7 November 1922 – 19 January 2008) was a Romanian professional footballer and coach. Club career Bazil Marian nicknamed "Bombardierul" (The Bomber) because of his powerful shots was born on 7 November 1922 in Uioara de Sus, Romania and started playing junior level football at age 11 at local club Solvay. Ion Iuliu Haidu (also known as János Hajdu; born 1 January 1942) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a forward. Club career Ion Haidu was born 1 January 1942 in Sepsiszentgyörgy (now Sfântu Gheorghe), starting to play junior level football in 1956 at local club, Flamura Roșie. Nicolae Nagy (born 8 March 1942) is a Romanian former football forward. Club career Nicolae Nagy was born 8 March 1942 in Marosvásárhely, Hungary (today Târgu Mureș in Romania), starting to play junior level football in 1957 at local club, Avântul.
