Vladimer Barkaia ( ka, ვლადიმერ ბარქაია; russian: Владимир Александрович Баркая; 29 July 1937 – 30 December 2022) was a Soviet footballer from Georgia who played as a striker. Career Born in Gagra, Barkaia played for FC Burevestnik Gagra from 1953 to 1955 and Dinamo Tbilisi from 1957 to 1967. During his career in FC Dinamo Tbilisi, Barkaia played 226 matches and scored 68 goals. Barkaya made his debut for USSR on 27 June 1965 in a 1966 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Denmark and scored twice on his debut. He also played in a friendly against Brazil team starring Pelé. He was an assistant coach for Dinamo Tbilisi from 1968 to 1969. He also graduated from the Tbilisi State University with a degree in Economics in 1963. Valery Ivanovich Voronin (russian: Валерий Иванович Воронин; 17 July 1939 – 22 May 1984) was a Soviet footballer who represented Torpedo Moscow and the Soviet national team. He was a versatile defensive midfielder whose impressive technical abilities and hard tackling made him one of the most complete midfielders of the 1960s. He was also capable of playing as a central defender. Early life Valery Voronin was born in Moscow, on 17 July 1939. He started playing football in the child team of the Kauchuk factory in 1952. Ronald Tudor Davies (25 May 1942 – 24 May 2013) was a Welsh footballer who played as a centre forward. He spent most of his career with Southampton in the Football League First Division, and also for the Welsh national team. Born in Holywell, Flintshire, Wales, he went to the same school as the Spurs defender Mike England, whom he played alongside in internationals for Wales. He was known as a header of the ball and was the top goal scorer in Division 1 for two seasons (1966–1968). In his first season at Southampton, he scored 12 goals across 10 consecutive league games. Graham Evan Williams (born 2 April 1938) is a Welsh former footballer who played as a full back. He spent his entire 17-year professional career at West Bromwich Albion. Biography Williams was born in Henllan, Denbighshire. He joined West Bromwich Albion as an amateur in September 1954 and turned professional in April 1955. He captained the side to victory in the 1966 Football League Cup Final and 1968 FA Cup Final, scoring in the second leg of the 1966 final against West Ham United. He also won 26 caps for Wales. After leaving Albion in 1972 he took up the post of player-manager with Weymouth, with whom he remained until 1975.
