The 1965–66 DDR-Oberliga was the 17th season of the DDR-Oberliga, the first tier of East German football league system, league football in East Germany. The league was contested by fourteen teams. The DDR-Oberliga (English: ''East German Premier League'' or ''GDR Premier League'') was the top-level association football league in East Germany. Hallescher FC, formerly known as Hallescher FC Chemie, is a Football in Germany, German association football club based in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Halle an der Saale, Saxony-Anhalt. The football clubs were formed in 1965 and 1966 as centers of excellence in East German association football, football.
