1964–65 Divizia B
The 1964–65 Divizia B was the 25th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 14 teams. At the end of the season the winners of the series promoted to Divizia A and the last two places from each series relegated to Divizia C. Liga II
The Liga 2, most commonly spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07 football season. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company under the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Since its inception in 1934, Liga II has had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. But since the 2016–17 Liga II, 2016-17 Liga II, it changed to one group of 20 teams. Currently, the top six teams goes in the promotion play-off, in which the top 2 teams get promoted and the next 2 play a promotion play-off against teams from Liga I. Vagonul Arad
Vagonul Arad was a football club based in Arad, Romania. It was founded in 1911 and it soon became one of the best teams from Arad. It was affiliated to Astra Arad rail equipment manufacturing company. It was dissolved in 2006. History 1911–1948 The club was formed in Arad in 1911 when ''AMEF'' ''(Asociația Muncitorilor pentru Educație Fizică)'' () merged with ''Clubul Sportiv al Fabricii De Vagoane'' (Rail Cars Factory Sports Club), keeping the first ones name until 1948. After World War I it qualified for the national championship 3 times, but never being able to pass the semi-finals. During 1932-1940 we see the club playing in Liga I, their best performance - 2nd place at the end of the 1935-36 season. Mureșul Târgu Mureș
CS Mureșul Târgu Mureș was a Romanian football club based in Târgu Mureș. They reached twice the semifinals of Romania's top football league, Divizia A. They are the predecessors of CS Târgu Mureş. History Mureșul Târgu Mureș ― named after the Mureș River on which Târgu Mureș lies ― was created in 1921 under the name SS Mureșul Târgu Mureș. In 1923, they joined to the CFR Târgu Mureș, Sports Club of railway workers, under the name CFR Mureșul Târgu Mureș. Same year, the club won the Târgu Mureș district championship and qualified for the final round of the 1923–24 Divizia A, Romanian Championship. After victories against the Șoimii Sibiu and Venus București they reached the semifinals, but was defeated by Chinezul Timișoara with 0–9. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system and is run in all 41 counties and in the Municipality of Bucharest. It was known as the Regional Championship, County Championship, Divizia C – County Phase and Divizia D. Its name was changed into Liga IV before the start of the 2006–07 season. History Football in Romania has its origins in 1909, when the country's first football competition was founded. In the beginning, matches were played in a cup-style system, with participating teams primarily coming from the Muntenia region, especially from Bucharest and Ploiești. In the 1920–21 season, in addition to the Harwester Cup, the Jean Luca P. Niculescu Cup, and the Maior Zorileanu Cup in Bucharest, district championships were also held in Timișoara/Arad, Cluj, Oradea, Târgu Mureș, and Cernăuți. Dermata Cluj
Dermata Cluj was a football club from Cluj-Napoca, Cluj County, dissolved in 1967. History The shoes factory from Cluj-Napoca called Echo Cluj created the team and was the main sponsor of the team until 1948. Notable players from that time was Darock, Bagoly, Kallo, Kiss, Toth. Ferencz Ronay was the first big manager who create a competitive team, and played for the first time in Divizia A, the Romanian First Football League. Stadionul Clujana (Clujana Stadium) was the main stadium of the team, situated next to the shoes factory. Even though they finished 11th out of 16th places in 1947–48 Divizia A they were relegated in Divizia B because they lost the Relegation / Promotion Play Off. Minaur Baia Mare, known also as ''Minerul Baia Mare'', is a Romanian football club, based in Baia Mare, Maramureș County, northern Romania, founded in 1947. U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv, commonly known as Universitatea Craiova (), CS U Craiova, or simply U Craiova, is a Romanian professional football club based in Craiova, Dolj County. Foresta Fălticeni (also known as ''Foresta Suceava'') was a Romanian professional football club from Fălticeni, Suceava County, Romania, founded in 1954 as ''Avântul Fălticeni'' and subsequently dissolved in 2003. History The club was founded in 1954 in Fălticeni under the name of ''Avântul Fălticeni''. Foresta was the first team representing Divizia C that played in a Romanian Cup final which was lost with 0–6 against Steaua București at the end of the 1966–67 season.
