Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi
Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (), commonly known as HJK Helsinki (), or simply as HJK (), is a Finnish Association football, football club based in Helsinki. The club competes in Veikkausliiga, the top division of the Finnish football league system. Founded in 1907, the club has spent most of its history in the top tier of Finnish football. The club's home ground is the 10,770-seat Töölö Football Stadium, where they have played their home games since 2000. Generally considered as Finland's biggest club, HJK is the most successful Finnish club in terms of Veikkausliiga, championship titles with 33. The club has also won 14 Finnish Cups and 6 Finnish League Cups. Many of Finland's most successful players have played for HJK before moving abroad. HC TPS
TPS or Turun Palloseura is an ice hockey team and 10-time champion of SM-liiga and 1-time champion of SM-sarja. They play in Turku, Finland, at Gatorade Center. In terms of championships, TPS is the second all-time most successful team in SM-Liiga, right behind Tappara. Team history TPS was established in 1922 as Turun Palloseura, from which the acronym derives. The club began ice hockey activities after 1929. Today, the full name of the company that owns the ice hockey team is ''HC TPS Turku Oy''. TPS has won the Finnish Championship in ice hockey 11 times: 1956, 1976, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2010. Only Tampere teams Ilves and Tappara have won more titles when SM-sarja also counts. Coach Hannu Jortikka led the club to a total of six championships in 1989–91 and 1999–2001. Porin Ässät (men's Ice Hockey)
Porin Ässät ry is a sports club based in Pori, Finland. The club's only programs are ice hockey and esports, but it used to have an association football program. Porin Ässät ry operates an ice hockey team in the Finnish Elite League. Porin Ässät ry also has junior teams for all age groups from U7 to U20. Porin Ässät ry also operate a women's ice hockey school and the girl's junior ice hockey department while also operating a skating school. Sports Men's ice hockey Ässät's ice hockey department started in 1967 when two local clubs, RU-38 and Karhut, merged. SM-sarja
SM-Sarja was the top level of ice hockey in Finland from 1928 to 1975. SM-sarja is a common abbreviation for ''Suomen mestaruussarja'', "Finnish Championship Series". There was variable number of teams playing for the Finnish championship during the time of SM-sarja. The lowest number of participating teams was during the 1934-35 SM-sarja season, 1935 SM-sarja season when there was 3 teams. The most common number of participating teams was 12. Since 1944-45 SM-sarja season there was relegations for lowest-ranking teams of each season. In the relegations the lowest-ranking teams either faced the winner of the Mestis, 1. Divisioona (1st Division) or was straightly relegated from SM-sarja. History The first SM-sarja season took place in 1928. The first championship was competed as a cup.
