Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (; ) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship reasons, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. At the end of each season, the champion and the runner-up of the Eerste Divisie are automatically promoted to the Eredivisie. Six other clubs enter the ''Nacompetitie'' , a promotion/relegation playoff that inclu ...

The Dutch Tweede Divisie in the 1962–63 season was contested by 34 teams. The champions played a play-off for promotion. After that match, a mini-tournament was held to determine a second team that would be promoted. It turned out that group B runners-up BVV would be promoted and not group B champions Haarlem. New entrants There were only twelve teams that had been participating in this league last season, meaning there were 22 new entrants. 1961–62 Tweede Divisie
The Dutch Tweede Divisie in the 1961–1962 season was contested by 15 teams. This was the last season the teams would play in a single division. Due to a realignment in the Eerste Divisie, the Tweede Divisie would be expanded from one group to two, while the Eerste Divisie would become one league instead of two, meaning many teams would be relegated to this league next season. Since it seemed necessary that some teams would have to be relegated to amateur football, play-offs for the 9th and 12th place were played. However, eventually only the last place finisher was actually relegated, as two teams from the Eerste Divisie moved straight to the amateurs. New entrants Relegated from the Eerste Divisie * HFC EDO * Helmondia '55 * Racing Club Heemstede League standings However, no one was relegated as a result of thes.
