Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División () is a professional association football league in Chile and the highest level of the Chilean football league system. Founded in 1933, it is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP). The league is officially known as the Liga de Primera Itaú due to sponsorship by Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco, Itaú. Throughout its history, the Chilean Primera División has had different formats, structures and number of participants. The 2025 Chilean Primera División, 2025 season is being contested through a single tournament throughout the calendar year. A total of 16 teams participate in the competition and it works with a system of promotions and relegations with the immediately lower category, the Primera B de Chile, Primera B (category with which it shares the Copa Chile). Audax Club Sportivo Italiano () is a Chilean football club based in La Florida playing in the Campeonato Nacional, having has spent most of its history in the top tier of Chilean football. History The club was founded by Italian residents in Santiago, on November 30, 1910, as Audax Club Ciclista Italiano in Alberto Caffi's hat store, and was originally focused on cycling. As football developed quickly in Santiago, in 1917 the club began participating in that sport, and in 1922, when the popularity of football increased within Audax's supporters, the club changed its name to Audax Club Sportivo Italiano. 1961 Copa Chile Green Cross
The 1961 Copa Chile Green Cross was the fourth edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on March 11, 1961, and concluded on June 29, 1961. Santiago Wanderers won the competition for the second time, beating Universidad Católica on goal difference. Matches were scheduled to be played at the stadium of the team named first on the date specified for each round. From the beginning of the second Round, if scores were level after 90 minutes had been played, an extra time took place. Alberto Fouilloux
Alberto Jorge Fouillioux Ahumada (22 November 1940 – 23 June 2018) was a Chilean football midfielder and striker who earned 70 caps and scored 12 goals for the Chile national team during his career. Career Fouillioux made his debut for Universidad Católica in 1957. He was part of two championship winning sides in 1961 and 1966. He played for Chile in two World Cups; the 1962 and 1966. In 1969, he joined Huachipato and in 1972 he played for Unión Española. In the latter part of his career he played for Lille in France. At youth international level, he represented Chile U20 in the 1958 South American Championship alongside players such as José Sulantay, Jorge Venegas, Efraín Santander, among others. After retiring as a player Fouillioux went on to become a manager, serving as head coach of Huachipato and Colo-Colo. Fouillioux died on 23 June 2018, aged 77 in his birth city of Santiago, Chile. Club Social de Deportes Rangers is a Chilean football (soccer), football club based in the city of Talca. The club was founded November 2, 1902 and plays in the Chilean Primera División B, second level of the Chilean football system. Their home games are played at the Estadio Fiscal, Fiscal stadium, which has a capacity of 16,000 seats. History The name Rangers was chosen by a Scotsman, Juan Greenstret, who was one of the founding fathers of the Club on behalf of Mrs. Amalia Neale de Silva, the first benefactress of the club.
